We show you how Android L is on a Nexus 7

As we already know, Android L It has been released in its version for developers and is now available for Nexus 5 and Nexus 7. Well, if you are interested in knowing how the new update works on these devices, you just have to watch the following video, where you can see what news it brings with respect to Android 4.4 KitKat.

Thanks to our colleagues at ADSLZone, we already know how it works Android L, the next update to Google's operating system, on a tablet Nexus 7. In the video that we show you below you will see in a detailed way how the company has completely redesigned Android, from aspects as basic as icons to some more interesting settings.

We have to say that Material Design, the design that Google is going to follow for its applications on all platforms, is not yet available in Android L. However, we can already see some shades of it in applications such as the calculator, where even some of the effects that will be present in all the operating system have already been added, giving a much more sophisticated and careful look. Obviously, it continues to work as usual, although that small interface change is appreciated that makes it even more striking.

Moreover, the widgets from the lock screen disappear in pursuit of the new notifications that Google will implement in Android L. In a few weeks, the notifications of all our applications will appear on this screen, offering the basic information that we can expand. Likewise, the top notification bar and a "menu" has been designed in the central area of the screen on which these notifications appear.

With respect to adjustments, we find a total redesign, with a much more compact menu and without so much scroll, leaving most of the options in view so that it is much easier for us to identify and reach the desired setting. Continuing with the settings, the so-called "Quick Settings" have also changed since instead of using two fingers to show the menu, now we will have to display the detailed notification bar and then the Quick Settings. In addition, the "Cast Screen" button to make use of the screen mirroring directly on the Chromecast.

In another vein, the touch pad It has also been redesigned with new icons that you may or may not like, but it still maintains the same function as until now. Finally, the multitask It will also be a very interesting aspect in Android L, offering a system similar to that of Google Chrome based on tabs that we can move vertically and "delete" by moving them laterally or by pressing the upper button in the shape of an "X".

As you can see, the update is quite complete, although all the other changes regarding the redesign of applications still remain to be seen. If you are interested, you can install the keyboard and the wallpapers available in Android L on your device with KitKat as we have indicated this morning.
