WhatsApp for Android takes one more step to be paid

WhatsApp

Fever WhatsApp and Line has passed. Everything has calmed down. They say that the "boom" of a news item does not last more than 20 days, and this has been the case in this case. WhatsApp it continues to work and few have paid for the service on Android. However, the version of the application for Google's operating system has introduced a change that is just one more step towards being paid. It comes with the latest update.

The messaging system is one of the most widely used in the world to communicate, at least in the entire West. Now where do you make money WhatsApp to survive? Let's not forget that you have to maintain servers, you have to pay your staff, you have to buy tools to improve the application, etc. All those things cost money, but few have paid to use WhatsApp. It is not uncommon, therefore, that some measure has to be taken in the service. Obviously, this will be to charge users for the use of it, on an annual basis.

WhatsApp

Actually, this is not new, since from the very beginning it was announced that it would work like this. They only gave us the first year. However, afterwards they have renewed year after year, until the situation has become untenable.

The last measure that they have taken can be seen in the update of the Android application, and it is that they have included among the improvements the implementation of the Google in-app payment system. That is, now we can buy an annual subscription to WhatsApp in the same way that we buy an application. Of course, for now, all they have done is introduce this option, which does not imply that they will charge.

It seems logical that if they have taken this measure it is because they want to make the system pay in the near future. If not, the only thing they do with these changes is to stoke the angry masses. Most likely, they are waiting for all the Line fever to pass, to make the system pay. In the end, when one morning we get up and go to meet a friend of ours to play paddle tennis, we will open WhatsApp, and it will tell us that we have to renew by paying a small amount, and instead of looking for other applications, we will pay quickly and continue using it. That is what the majority will do, and what will push the other minority to end up doing it.

IOS users, meanwhile, get rid of this payment almost with total probability. Those who have bought the application, which are all iOS, for a price of 0,89 euros, have achieved that their account becomes 10 years, and will not have to pay until that period passes.

It could also be to sell as Line stickers does, if I know you don't have them yet but you could create them or any other product.

Dare to do it for a fee when the others are totally free, I see it as reckless on the part of whatsapp.

And even more so when there are many young people, many, who have WhatsApp with a data plan (paid for by parents) but do not have a card to pay for WhatsApp, even if it is a paltry dollar.

You don't need a card, with the latest whatsap update you can pay it saying that they add it to the phone bill

I paid the 99 cents it is worth. If I paid for $ 5 applications, why wouldn't I do it with WhatsApp, especially when they offered us a year of their service for free. It's the least we can do, right? As for the stickers that you speak, I use an app called Smileys for chat

It cost me 0,79centimos to buy WhatsApp, I would have paid it even if it cost 2 euros. probe line and the battery was melting that was nice, not to mention that some messages disappeared in the cloud and did not reach my friends ... .. anyway ... .. there will be many different free sms programs, but where is this whatsap original) that does not consume any battery and the sms arrive even if you hardly have a signal, in whatsap I stay and more knowing that with the phoneyou page I can have it on pc, on my galaxy s3 and on my tablet, without having to delete it from no device

There is no excuse for not paying it, it is a minimal amount and the software is well worth it.

I do not pay a penny for an application that does not improve and security is painful! When I have to pay I will remove it from the mobile, totally I do not use it barely! 🙂

What you do not complain about is that in IOS those who have paid it for 0,89 cents will have it active for ten years. The payment in android is annual? If so, it seems like an unfair treatment and a good reason to uninstall it.
