Google will not launch Nexus smartphones this year, although it will launch two smartphones. Specifically, these will be the new Google Pixel. They will replace what have been the Nexus up to now. But the truth is that we fear something that already happened last year, and that is that Google will laugh at us again with their mobiles. Basically, that he laughs at us with the prices with which the mobiles will arrive.

Google mobiles, in their day, were mobiles that surprised us by having a quality / price ratio that could hardly be improved. The Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 were smartphones with a price of 300/350 euros that came almost with technical characteristics of high-end mobiles. It is true that they had some shortcoming, such as a camera that perhaps did not rival that of other large mobiles on the market. But in short, they were smartphones with very up-to-date software, and with a great performance, which was also surprising for its economic price.

However, Google mobiles no longer come with the same price as before. The smartphones of the search engine company have become more expensive than they were before. At least they now have higher prices. The Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P that were released last year were priced higher than the Nexus normally. And it is said that this Google Pixel XL will be priced at about $ 650 ... so it will be even more expensive than last year's Nexus. The big problem is that something very curious happened last year, and that is that the mobile phone arrived in Spain with a much higher price than in the United States. Because of the difference in value between the euro and the dollar? It's possible. But still, it doesn't seem fair at all. And if this year, in addition to being a more expensive mobile, it arrives with an inflated price in Europe, we will find a mobile that will approach the price of the iPhone 7. We will see what Google finally does. The choice you make for the company's pricing policy could be decisive in the success of the mobile, especially considering the relevance it will have in the market.
