El OnePlus One it is one of the most impressive terminals of the moment. The company has shown that any manufacturer can create a high-quality and above all cheap smartphone. Therefore, the units they had planned may not be enough and therefore will increase production during the month of June.
Although, as we have said, most technology and Android lovers would be delighted to have one of these OnePlus One in his hands, currently the invitation system makes it quite difficult to get it. It is one of the points that has generated the most controversy, despite the intelligence behind this decision: to provide each and every one of the lucky ones without “surplus” devices that could cause multimillion-dollar losses to the company (or missing more than the desirable).
For this reason and to meet the wishes of the majority of consumers, at the end of June it will be much easier get an invitation and therefore buy the device. As we can read in a thread on the OnePlus forums, the company will update its production in this way:
- At this time they have 100 phones ready for the contest -listed by many as absurd- "Smash the Past".
- In mid-May there will be a large print run of the 16GB white model to meet early invite buyers
- Begining of June the same will happen with the black model, 64 GB
- At the end of june the availability of the models will increase and it will be much easier to get an invitation.
As indicated in the same post, the 64 GB model is the one that is unleashing the most passions and that is why production will increase notably within a few weeks. However, they will not leave aside the 16 GB OnePlus One either, ensuring that it reaches all homes where they have an invitation on time.
